In the episode D’Oh Canada from the 30th season of The Simpsons, a scene from Frozen River was referenced.
In this scene, Marge and Lisa were left in Canada, and were being brought back into the US by two Canadian smugglers, who then abandoned them as soon as the ice on the not-so-frozen body of water beneath them began to crack.
It was a great honor.
